About me
José H. González, Ed.D., is the Director of Safety & Programs for Outward Bound USA, providing national leadership in risk management, crisis response, incident investigation, program quality, and organizational learning. He began his career in outdoor and expedition-based education in the 1990s and has worked with organizations including Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, Thompson Island Outward Bound Center, Dartmouth College Outdoor Programs, Plymouth State University, SDSU Mission Bay Aquatic Center, Sail Caribbean, and NOLS. He previously served on the WRMC Steering Committee and continues to advance risk management practice across outdoor and experiential education.
